House for Juric family

This was a pre design of a summer house for Juric familly, in Rijeka, Croatia. 1998. Total area of the building ~ 480m²

The structure type is very unique, implementing outer triangular columns made of concrete with steel beams on the inside. Floors and ceilings are made of raised floors type with hidden installations, and lowered ceilings hide central air conditioning system. Parts of floors have glass panels for the light and shadow effect on the inside of the building.

Ground floor is made of: a garage, boiler room, water pump, central heating and vine cellar.

First floor incorporates a large patio on the outside mostly combined flooring with glass and wood. In the interior of the house there is: a large living room, an open kitchen and a separate closed type kitchen, a bar, dinning room, game room, a theater, two bathrooms and  maids area.

Second floor consists of: master bedroom with closets and bathroom, two bedrooms for children and their bathroom, a study and a catwalk type balcony overlooking the bay below.

The whole facade is made of a double glass with special foil film suspended curtain wall, with red painted concrete triangular columns.

Over the building there are compound panels made of aluminum and panels with sun cells to produce enough electricity for the house. First hi - tech house (intelligent home) I have designed.

Although this project representing my deconstructivist approach has not been built, it shows my designing potential at its best.
